Finding the right college

Four girls, four colleges. This week we took youngest to visit another college. She counted them up that she has been to about ten. After each one she would say something that she didn't like. Two weeks ago we went to Indiana Wesylan and she liked it there. Finally we are getting somewhere. She has a year to really decide but we want to narrow it down to three this year. The college we went to this week was Goshen College. We did the tour thing, got the free t-shirt, sat in on a nursing class, met the volleyball coach. My husband and I could tell her smile was a bit brighter, she had a sparkle about her. Then she said it, that she liked it here a lot. The next day she was invited back to practice with the team. She came out saying. This was the place for her and she is not looking anywhere else because they have everything she needs right here. Yes!!!! My husband and I are elated. We have a winner. She said they have asked her to come every week to practice, she is going to spend the night and meet with the nursing director. Part of the battle is finding out what career each daughter should take, then its the college, the rest will happen.
Our money has went to these colleges:
Me-Huntington, Ball State, St. Francis, IPFW, Indiana State
Husband- Purdue
Oldest- Buffton
Middle #1- Manchester, Vanderbilt
Middle #2- Trine, Purdue
Youngest- Is favoring Goshen

Interesting how everyone wants there own college (Purdue was on-line for Middle#2)We as parents just want our girls to have a job where they can support themselves for whatever life may bring them. So they can stand on their own if need be. That is really our last big job- that they get through college, after that they are old enough to be on their own and we hope we have steered them right.
*Youngest is excited about her college and so are we!

  2. It's so special that each one had a different college--shows how individual they are. Good for both of you.
